What is Communication?

Communication is a medium through which we are able to listen to others' views, speak out their mind, read texts and messages sent by others, and write what they think or consider to others. Unike animals and birds, human beings can very well express whatever is their wish, likes ad dislikes, grievances, etc., to those whom they are intended.

During the initial stage of Communication, listening plays a vital role and is the first stepping stone. once perfect listening has been achieved, it becomes possible for anyone to catch up with other skills like reading, speaking and writing. Through active listening, one can understand, question or oppose the viewpoints put forward by others.

Reading is another important activity that promotes communication. By reading the papers or the texts, one can improve his telling and interpreting power on any topic of his choice. It also promotes knowledge of more words and phrases and the construction of proper sentences. While reading he can understand what the text or book informs or communicates to him.

Speaking is also promoted by means of communication. Once a person learns the vocabulary and structure, he begins to speak in a manner that is easily comprehensible to others. Good speech invites more audience to it and the listeners are able to capture the meaning potential behind it. By introducing pauses in the places requires, meaning can easily be imparted to the audience.

Finally writing as a skill gets promoted as a means of communication. Through this skill, it should be possible to write one's own script by himself. For developing this skill again vocabulary and structures should be familiarized. Words in the proper context and in meaningful sentences reveal a person's smart way of communicating to others. Considering all these points, it emerges that communication is quite essential if human beings want to interact with each other.

Problems I face while communicating with others:
    1. Sometimes I used to speak in 1.5x speed mode instead of 1x speed mode, due to which many find it difficult to understand what I'm trying to convey with them.

    2. Sometimes I will be clear with what I'm trying to convey but due to nervousness I lose my confidence and fails to communicate properly.

To improve your LSRW skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing), we should focus on a few key areas. For listening, try actively engaging in conversations, practicing active listening techniques, and exposing yourself to different accents and speech patterns. For speaking, practice speaking confidently, work on pronunciation, and seek opportunities to engage in conversations. For reading, read a variety of materials, such as books, articles, and newspapers, to improve comprehension and vocabulary. For writing, practice regularly, seek feedback, and work on grammar and sentence structure.
